Technical Program Manager, Assistant Infrastructure

Improve Google Assistant Developer Platform experience and capabilities while defining and executing long-term strategy to meet growth and expansion of products and technology.

Drove product strategy across the media & entertainment verticals by informing product solutions with global & long-term perspective, developing narratives & value propositions, launching ecosystem wide initiatives, enabling partner teams by acting as deal advisor and operational expert, and fostering an active internal and external community.

Global Project Lead, Media & Entertainment

Architected team framework, overhauling team OKRs, roles & responsibilities, and meeting structure while developing & defining partner management for global team of 32 FTEs in 4 countries in offices in Mountain View, Los Angeles, New York, London, Berlin, and Tokyo.

Led XFN OKR planning yearly & quarterly; redesigned the bug & feature request process consolidating & reducing asks, while reducing overheard on engineering resources, developed & implemented prioritization criteria, updated templates & Tech Team triage processes.

Operations Manager, Media & Entertainment

Managed & executed the Play & YouTube Movies Content Platform project leading redesign of the content ingestion pipeline in complete overhaul of legacy system infrastructure enabling content operations at scale & product features that support commerce, discovery and, playback.

Acted as TPM for Play & YouTube Engineering for 8 months driving the Play & YouTube Movies Content Platform project; adopted Agile & migrated teams to execute sprints through the adoption of the Google project management tool while simultaneously transitioning projects from large phase deliverables to feature based, and consolidating ~23 weekly meetings to one XFN program meeting.  

Deployed the redesigned Play Movies Partner Portal & launched features impacting ~400 global partners across 41 countries; deprecated legacy YouTube tools, developed & consolidated operations worldwide vendor workflows.

Developed & implemented user research process through the adoption of user experience design principles in collaboration with engineering & UX in order to evolve usability, accessibility, and process for movies & TV operational workflows; negotiated & received dedicated IA/UX resource for engineering.

Drove adoption & development of industry standards; leveraged partnerships & platforms to influence media & entertainment industry consortium’s including EIDR & EMA; drove impactful media industry changes through Google engineering & platforms.

Product Management, Mobile

Developed & executed mobile strategy for O’Reilly Media through focusing on extending & enriching the Safari Books Online e-learning platform while unifying the brand and ecosystem across mobile.

Expanded the capabilities of the mobile apps through overhaul of iOS & Android codebases, integration of Intercom live chat capability, and development of features including two-step authentication,

Implemented Buildathing program that enabled the mobile engineering team to develop and drive forward their ideas; provided support and resources, and integrated dedicate development time to sprints resulting in adoption of multiple features & concepts.

Adopted Agile and integrated UXD in collaborative initiative with Design to evolve the usability, accessibility, and desirability to the apps for users; led onsite design sessions with users at conferences.

Led customer user journey mapping exercises to define relationships between O’Reilly brand & customers; developed visualizations & touchpoint timelines alongside user personas.

Supported the end-to-end digital supply chain ecosystem & managed the day-to-day services pipeline of digital entertainment & software products through Microsoft e-distribution channels including Xbox games and downloadable content, avatars, themes, gamerpics, apps, Windows Phone, Microsoft Office, Windows OS, tokens, POSA and currency.

Lead Program Manager, Xbox Media Services Engineering

Led team of +5 PMs and +36 engineers in building a world-class catalog & service that provided a streamlined platform for Microsoft Movies & TV, Groove Music, and Books; executed functional & operational framework for media operations to enable scale, reduce cost, and increase efficiency while integrating 3rd party channels & developing partnerships with Gracenote, IMDB, Bandcamp & Movies Anywhere.

Developed and implemented the Kickstarter program enabling international engineering teams to develop and drive forward their ideas with support and resources of organization for set time periods; culminated in demos & voting with winning ideas integrated into products.

Developed & led initiative to overhaul pricing architecture for Microsoft Movies & TV; analyzed competitor pricing & drove updates to PLAs, Xbox LIVE policy, and offer management architecture resulting in +40% e2e efficiency, global expansion of offers to +9 countries, and industry competitive pricing.

Program Manager, Xbox Music Factory Operations

Supported the digital pipeline for music and video while improving serviceability of the platform through engineering while driving operational process change and business development.

Channel Manager, Xbox Business Operations

Partnered & executed the largest digital supply chain overhaul for Xbox Live since its launch in 2002 affecting all revenue, publishers, gaming products, business operations, and policies; launched Game Developer Network Portal, developed channel integration for 3rd party OEMs & partners, integrated Windows 8 OS, Office 365, Xbox Apps and Windows Phone through supply chain.

Supported the end-to-end digital supply chain ecosystem & managed the day-to-day games services pipeline while acting as SME in broad areas of ingestion, compliance, and policy; built strong partnerships with game publishers incl. Activision, EA & Ubisoft while leading global launches through e-distribution channels & media partnerships.

Drove planning & execution of major global events incl. E3, Comicon, PAX, and GDC through marketing & merchandising partnerships including SpikeTV & Gamestop; negotiated & drove high profile programs & licensing agreements.

Portfolio Manager, Xbox LIVE

Managed +90M Xbox LIVE Personalization portfolio, managing & driving personalization strategy to meet long-term category growth & gross margin targets; launched Avatar Marketplace micro-transaction business exceeding financial targets by +200% through partnerships with key content license holders & content acquisition.

Led Avatar adoption & development through partnerships with 1st and 3rd party game studios, clothing & sportswear brands, entertainment partners, and digital brands incl. Activision, Viacom, Burton, Quicksilver, and Skullcandy; partnered with Rare Ltd. & engineering to develop Avatar XDK through Xbox Live Developer program while driving LIVE Policy and developing Xbox branded assets through 3rd party developers.
